Yep..too rare...a little browning and char doesn't hurt a thing, but no more than medium

IMO it needs a very little more time maybe a couple minutes. I also don't think it was cooked right as there's no crust on the outside. And what the heck is with the gravy as AG said??? I don't think it's au jus and that's usually in a small cup. Add a plate of hashbrowns with cheese and onions and I'd be set.

LOL I forgot about that Jayme. He cooked it to the correct temp, then told them to cook it for TWO MORE HOURS, one of those hours 450 degrees, and then blamed them for it being shoe leather, lmao.


Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait

What ? Nah I eat rare , just feel it's a bit over rated and the idea a steak or something NEEDING to be super rare to be good is stupid . I mean if I'm cooking for you and you want it super rare a that fine with me just easier for me to cook but egh .Seriously if you cant cook a steak done /well done and I not be shoe leather I feel you got issues in the kitchen lol. But last few months I've been preferring done over rare . Why ? Idk

That picture of the prime rib above looks great. I love the outer crust and then a fair amount of pink in the middle.

Where's that chart on steaks from awhile back I remember I said 3 or 4 which is what that looks like.
