Check out the post by Trump this morning. He gave the Iranians a another 48 hour deadline to open the Strait or we'll supposedly hit their power plants.
Interestingly, he also dropped an F bomb and said "Praise be Allah" in the same post--on Easter
I can't post it here because of profanity. Check it out yourselves if you are interested in the new deadline or otherwise. I saw the post. Surely you heard the sarcasm dripping from the "Praise be Allah"????

How does sarcasm make the post acceptable? What do find unacceptable about it? Is it your religion that is offended? Or... just that it's not in the "presidential tone" people have come to expect over the years?

Here are Trump's statements today from a WSJ interview. “If they don’t come through, if they want to keep it closed, they’re going to lose every power plant and every other plant they have in the whole country.
But we are in a position that’s very strong, and that country will take 20 years to rebuild, if they’re lucky, if they have a country. And if they don’t do something by Tuesday evening, they won’t have any power plants and they won’t have any bridges standing.”

40 other countries can talk a long time to do anything, doubt Iran will ever give up what control they have unless the straight, is circumvented !
Where were these 40 countries when the trouble started, surely they knew what the ending was going to be, knowing what everyone does about Iran lieing every day about everything, they knew and they hoped we would walk in and take it over, just like all other situation's, however this time we have a better leader who thinks things out quite a bit more before saying ok
Let those 40 countries stand up and be seen and lets just see what they ask of us as well, I'd tell them all it's your ball game now boys, you clean up the field !!
I don't think we ever wanted to take the straight over just open, it with a lot of lost lives, know no one in leadership wanted it that bad, it's pretty clear by now that we don't really want boots on the ground in that area, still with so much military being around it, the cost of life is to high, and thats why we see continued harassment of other areas in the country.

Everything. Will have to disagree on this one. I personally thought the post was great.

I guess I can't post the President's Easter words with the cuss words redacted.
Apologies to the site. The words were still partially visible and easily seen.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I guess we’ll see in the next couple days. Me thinks things ain’t going quite as planned, mind you, nobody knows what the plan was other than hammering the crap out of their military infrastructure…….but that’s war, not much goes as planned. Time will soon tell.
Spjones told me about a set of SOG Nam books and I’m almost done reading them. One of the “lessons learned” was that people can make stupid decisions when under a lot of stress. The author wrote another book on it….. The Stress Effect. How Smart Leaders Make Dumb Decisions And What To Do About It.

I really hope they get this squared away soon, buisness is the slowest it's been in 5years for us and fuel and expenses are sky high. I'm optimistic buisness will pick up but after 2008 I'm always gonna be a pessimist

The tone of Trump today makes me hopeful that he is about ready to finish this as opposed to continuously extending deadlines the way he has been....

I’m not expert, but I’m betting on things getting much hotter over Iran for a short time, then they’ll be left to rebuild for years with help from their friends, and probably hate America even more. But there are people over there that want change in Iran, just don’t think there’s enough fight in them. Their nuke capability will probably be reduced permanently, leaving them to rely on DPRK or China to lend them something which would obviously be very risky on their part. As crazy as the other Supreme Leader in DPRK is, it’d be the end of his country if he was the one providing Iran with a nuke and they used it. Scary stuff really. Maybe the aliens that Artemus will find on the dark side of the moon shortly will change the whole world…..lol.

The tone of Trump today makes me hopeful that he is about ready to finish this as opposed to continuously extending deadlines the way he has been.... I took the comments today along the lines of it now taking Iran 20 years to rebuild as a likely off ramp scenario. But who knows. And what does that mean for the shipping lane? My opinion is that in the end for Trump this was primarily about economic pressure on our real enemy over in Beijing. Damage to the puppets in the sand box played out as a calculated , short term and acceptable political risk here at home. Ultimately I believe the strategy would be to maintain some version of US control/influence over the shipping. Not a clue what that looks like but you'd think it has something to do with a coalition between the US and the other neighbors. Otherwise I see the potential for a real war scenario with China. Im afraid in this area we keep losing sight of the forest for the trees
