Wow, forgot about those boys suits from late 50's and 60's...I think everyone had one to go to church and special occasions...parents ponied up for them if they could afford them or not...

Not many overalls in church around here. I grabbed the top half of a suit this morning for an interview later this afternoon. Suites are for dressing up, showing respect, and or trying to impress someone. Mine were always mix matched and ill fitting but I got a few new well fitting suits in the last couple years.

I went to an inner city funeral a few months ago for a guy that retired from work right before he retired from life. I wore a suit. I was overdressed and didn't fit in at all. Lots of reds and yellows and greens there and I really stood out and got some looks. lol.

Sad actually. You ever been to a funeral with demo'd buildings everywhere? First for me. Makes me wonder about what were paying people and if its enough.

I remember when growing up going to school awards banquets, graduations, funerals, weddings, church, etc and everyone had suits on or at least slacks and a button up shirt.

Now a days not so much.

It was a better time.

Don't remember having one but have seen church pictures of me wearing one as a young kid. Never wore one as an adult. My granddaughter asked me to walk her down the aisle when she gets married in September. I will be wearing a tux for the first time in my life. I would wear anything she wants me to.

Bought a suit for Dad's funeral. Will wear it again soon when a Granddaughter gets confirmed into church.

My brothers and I always got a new three piece for Easter. A nice one came with two pair of pants in differing colors. Sunday morning service was always vest and tie, Evening service you could lose the vest. By middle school you could lose the tie. By high school jeans allowed, it was scadalous at first, if good ones and still a button up shirt. Mornings still suit and tie.
