Cubs are off to a rocky start and it doesn’t help matters that it was announced today that Cade Horton, the cubs ace pitcher,, will need season ending surgery.
Blew his arm out after pitching his second game of the season and was only in the second inning.
Matthew Boyd was put on the 15 day injury list.
Ugggh!!
Looks like my boasting about how good the cubs was going to be has come back to haunt me.

I saw that tonight on the news, and yes it suck’s for the Cubbies, I haven’t looked is there any decent pitchers here in Iowa they can move up?

Assad has been a very solid pitcher…in fact. I think he should be a permanent starter on the roster and send taillon down.

Management wasn’t fair at all to the fans.
Instead of building a team,, they turned it into a major league AAA team.
To make it not sting so much,, they now have a 30 dollar pass for unlimited food and drinks alcohol not included

I was going to put a go cards in here but I felt sorry for the cub fans... they had high hopes!

We do not we can just sit back and enjoy the game.

I still believe cubs could make the playoffs,, via wildcard,,, or maybe even surprise us with a division win.
Don’t think there’s that kind of remote hope with the cardinals.

But hey , now the cardinals fans know how cubs fans felt for decades… lol

And while everybody is looking away, the Reds are slowly building steam with one of the best pitching staffs in the MLB...

Don’t worry they will trade them away if they get to looking too good!!!

Brewers area short drive away and have more favorable fans!

Picking up Suarez was a big win for Cincinnati…guy was out there and nobody wanted to snatch him up.
I seriously thought that he could go to St. Louis,,,

The big hit for the Cubs was hiring Greg Councell. Thinking he was going to be an exceptional manager was a huge mistake IMO.
