I was looking around a peice of property today that is owned by an old-timer who's a bit of a hoarder.
I assume these are torpedoes?
If so, what vintage? Launched from submarines or boats?
Any collector value?

That’s an EOD question….we have had old WWII ordinance wash up regularly on our beaches here. EOD from Dover AFB usually come and destroy in place.

Hopefully Paul will chime in.

Certainly look like torpedoes and torpedo tubes to me

Maybe some kind of dummy/training stuff

Can't imagine a civilian being able to get their hands on 1 real one, let alone a pile of them

As far as value, Iranian gov would probably be interested laugh

Looks like a MK14, but I'm rusty on identifying torpedoes. Those tubes look like shipping containers for the torpedoes.

I think I will see if I can get a few of them to scatter around my front yard. I've found it advantageous to keep a couple of my neighbors guessing about me.

That makes sense that they are shipping tubes. All of the torpedoes I have seen in museums have had rounded edges. That lip on the rim would make them travel through the water poorly. The tubes are otherwise very close to the length and width of the torpedoes I have seen.
