Must be, cause I sure can't take the castor out of a beaver without tearing it at least once. I'm lucky a beaver has only 2 castors, cause if they had four, I'd tear all four of them as well.

It takes some practice. You just need to take it slow. I find it helpful to use a paper towel to assist in peeling them out. Or wear a cloth glove to make them easier to grip and work them out. You will get them surprisingly perfect.

Some beaver have castors like wet toilet paper. Nothing much you can do with those.

I've removed thousands of castors without ripping them...I'm scratching my head about how a paper towel would help?

There not as slippery and you can hold on to the castor and get the membrane off easier at least it works for me but iam not a pro at it.

Maybe it’s a skinning glove vs no skinning glove thing? I can see how glove would be slippery when removing the thin skin.
