I know ALOT of the old time trappers used the tar out of bacon grease,, but does anyone still use it? Just curious if mixing bacon grease with castor would work for late winter, picky breeding raccoon.

Read a story years ago about red fox hill. The guy would use bacon grease, and other cooking waste, and bury it on a hill. A bunch of different spots. Guess he caught a lot of red fox there. There's not many critters that doesn't like the smell of bacon grease, and just have to check it out. Guess the campfire pit set , is a good example.
