So miss Daisy had me build some gates for the deck opening....so her precious Pekes can't escape, in CASE they go out on the deck...which never happened.

So built them like the others, and then, of course, had to stain the lattice panels....If there is any project more annoying than that please enlighten me....hate this stuff!!!

last time I did it , thinned it down with cheap paint thinner and sprayed it with a gun

because the only thing worse than painting/staining is staining lattice

edit: Ok that isn't true , laying in a hospital bed with a broken back is worse than staining lattice

I bought pvc lattice last time. White forever

Wish it came in brown, lol, Friend of mine used to do a lot of deck work and maintenance, he said the same thing, spray it!
unfortunately I'm not set up for that, especially on such a small project....but....it ain't getting a second coat!, lol

You can thin it and spray with a cheap garden sprayer.
