Bruce you weren't there, and you are flat out wrong. And if 160user says so, you can take it to the bank. He's seen those boys handle firearms on many occasions and saw me wallop one of them for acting irresponsibly at a gun show.
Thank you to everyone else that didn't have to bring a bogus observation into the conversation. My kids always appreciate what you all have to say. I also congratulated on the turkey.Look at the picture.Do you really call that safe gun handling even if the gun is just pointed in the general direction of one’s head?My father would have kicked my arse for doing that. One of my grandsons I had to break of the bad habit of putting his gun barrel resting on the top of his foot.Sorry but I take gun safety to heart.Again congrats on a nice turkey. He has control of the firearm, it is unloaded and checked by him and myself, it is pointed away from his body. I'd call it safe. I believe anyone else that handles firearms would consider it safe. Resting a gun on your foot presents no danger so long as you control the dangerous end of the gun. Perhaps your grandson couldn't do that, but my son's keep them pointed safely.

Man, what a crappy move trashing a great post with that stuff Bruce. You should be ashamed.
Reminds me of a story, a kid was eating a big sack of candy, and some old curmudgeon came along and said "you need to stop eating that candy" The kid says "My grandpa lived to be 98 years old!" The guy asks "From eating all that candy?" The kid said "NO, from minding his own business!" I sprayed whiskey on my computer. I have to admit, Bruce's comment bugged me all day. What a terrible way to poop on a thread.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Sheesh, I came back to see if Mike was mad at me for giving him some friendly grief about calling a turkey a thunder chicken! lol I almost forgot about it after reading all this! Happy trapping! ScottW It kinda went downhill fast, didn't it? My apologies to folks. I didn't figure this post would go that way.

I think everyone has said their piece be it good/bad/otherwise, had their fun, and we’re all moving on! I think the original triggering comment was made with good intentions and you clarified nicely. Keep up the good work! Happy trapping! ScottW
