Thank You all for your good wishes. I believe we have to try and deal with what we are handed. So, I bless you all and pray the Good Lord watches over each and everyone of you and your families. Families are important in most cases of our lives... and it is hard to believe this until there are all gone.

I will pop in every once in a while, maybe someday I will have something positive to add to the conversation.

God Bless and pray for all of you to have tight chains this season.

Nice house, getting a few traps shouldn’t be too hard.

I see that large star on the left side of your door and I see that here and there around the country and always wonder what that signifies.

Very well done, Sir! Nice place.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I ask the same question when traveling around, looking at homes in this part of Ohio. I got various answers, but many didn't know. So did what any good American would do... Ask Google. Here is the best answer I have found.
______

The large star you often see on the sides or front of homes and barns in the Midwest is known as a Barn Star, Pennsylvania Star, or Primitive Sar.

While they are popular decorations today, they carry a deep history, originating as a symbol of Good Luck and Protection.

Here is a breakdown of what they represent:

Good Luck and Protection: Traditionally, Pennsylvania Dutch and German-American farmers installed these stars on barns to ward off evil and bring good fortune to the farm, similar to a horseshoe over a door.
----------------------------

So I fully accept that is what meant by the Star on the side of my home.
