Usually estate sales are good to go to, as they sellers want to get rid of things quickly making the prices decent. Moving sales are good too. They usually want to sell as much a they can so they don't have to haul it with them. Last summer at a moving sale I got two wheelbarrows for a buck apiece and a box of spooled assorted fishing line for $3.00.

You know you're old when you walk past a rest room and think, as long as I'm here........

Estate sales/auctions are chaotic around here and pricey but I am patient and get my share. What makes it easier for me is I dont care what it is as long as I can flip it and make money. Got a Wagnerware Magnalite roaster last week for 3.00 and it just sold for 150.00. 5 people ahead of me passed on it ort didnt see/know it.

Auctions around here are high now. In Indiana you can still find rural sales with deals. Some people travel around and buy up stuff over in Indiana, bring it back, and then reauction it off over here. I stood at an equipment sale this winter getting snowed on and figured I'd get a deal on something b/c it was cold and blowing all day. I went home empty handed.

The estate auction i hot a good deal on the guns at I was ther for a tractor and or 3 point tiller not the guns. The tiller sold for more than a new one( it did look new but) and the tractor sold for 1700 less than list price on a new one.

I think it all depends on who showed up. I have been so busy working the last several years it was hard for me to spend limited time ar a sale and not get deals so had quit going. It may be something I get back into as I cut back and have more time. Would be something to do and not physically demanding. May be a fun hobby to flipping things. Mom was smiling this week feling accomplished having bout some items for $3 at a yard sale snad selling them for $15 each within 30 mins.
