I was working Davenport Screw Machines with an old man that ran his thumb thru a gear set and the tip of his finger forever had a clear gear tooth on the tip. He yelled plenty tho!

Do you remember the guy who owned the At Work tavern just out of Forks? Olsen was his last name, I can't think of his first, right now. He fell timber for a living and bought the bar to pay for his drinking, I think. He cut his knee with a saw while camped out working, and went back to camp and sewed it up with fishing line. It was deep enough he claimed he sewed it inside, and then sewed up the outside. I didn't know him back when he did that, but a few years later I was down there playing pool after work one evening, and he was sitting up at the bar and pulled about a foot long chunk of fishing line out of his leg, where it apparently worked its way to the surface.

Other grandpa on my dads side was a mean drunk. Was kicked outa the marines, not sure why. Dad said back in the day grandpa shot the tip of his pinky off with a .22 somehow, doctors fixed it but he always complained bout it hurting. One booze fueled trip from colorado to kansas he asked my uncle to cut it off, gramps pulled out a knofe at a reststop and held it on his pinky and had my uncle hit the back of the blade with a jack handle. Never did findnthe end of his pinky. He got most of his teeth kicked out in a bar fight in eads colorado if i recall got into it with a few guys and they got the better of him that time.

…. Ran with an ol boy that would hack up glass from driving off of Indian creek bridge back in the nineties… guess the pieces of windshield had migrated down into his sinus cavities or something

Back in the 80s me and the boys were at a field party (we were juniors or seniors in high school). Things got festive and I ended up squaring up with someone. My first swing I caught his front teeth with my knuckles. I opened up the knuckle on my middle finger all the way to the bone. Later on that nite I was convinced to go get stitches. We were in a small town and the Dr was home in bed. When he got there to stitch me up he proceeded to give the the what for. The nurse had everything ready and started to give the Dr a needle with something to numb the pain. Just then the Dr. says no he's tough we won't need that. The nurse just turned and left the room. Then the Dr. says lets see just how tough you really are. and starts to stitch me up. I almost made it but finally had to have him stop so I could take a drink of water. Four stitches from (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) and I was ready to go. Living in a small town everyone knows everyone and my father was one of the crew that would meet for coffee every morning. Later the next day I ran into him at home and all he said was (think your tough don't you)
