Hope so, but you're not going to get any backing from the UK, as it's just about totally under Sharia Law.

Seemed it was everywhere.
I don't know anything about it, but always thought it was like federal land here.

The only thing that belongs to Canada is the military bases and national parks which will be part of the national debt and cpp negotiations

A nearly 300 mile shared border with Montana makes being landlocked a minor issue, since the US will be the primary trading partner of Alberta.

That doesn't sound good.
The UK in fact owns your land.
I hope I'm wrong.

There's mini series on Netflix I watched last winter. Named 'The Crown'. It's about Queen Elizabeth's reign starting right after WW2 till present time.
I thought it was well done and very informative.
All through it they referred to 'Crown Land'. This Crown Land could only be accessed by the government or by the royal family.
The vast hunting estate Balmoral Castle was set aside just for the Royal family. Thousands of acres, (or whatever they call land measurement over there), was set aside just for the Royal Family for hunting, fishing or pleasure.

It was an interesting watch. I wonder if parts of Canada are the same way.

When they say “crown land”

It means provincial land,,,,

Like state land

Has nothing to do with UK crown

Interesting thread. Don’t really hear much about it in Saskatchewan

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Few things I wonder how the details will work out

New money
New rural police , no RCMP in All the small rural communities
Passport office, wonder how long it would take to make 5 million passports
Travelling across Canada will be interesting if there’s border control
Hunting big game will be limited to Alberta unless you want to pay high dollar outfitters, fishing and bird hunting would cost a little more but not to expensive
Albertans have lots of cabins at numerous lakes in Saskatchewan
Lots of Alberta farmland owners in the middle of Saskatchewan and probably a lot along the borders, I believe there’s new laws about buying and selling land
Wonder what shipping grain , cattle etc would cost compared to now
Relocating out of Alberta to a new province could be interesting
Wonder if they need a new army or airforce

Just a few things I could think of. It doesn’t affect me either way right now and what the majority of albertans want is what they should strive for. Not sure how long this will go on but it’s interesting reading and some posts are so comical. Quebec tried something like that years ago but not really sure on details.

Havent heard anything about Saskatchewan trying the same thing but you never know

Guess I should answer that,,, I started the thread

Money is not a problem,,, many countries run the world reserve currency(usd) our goods are all traded in it as it is now. Or Canadain, or both

our own currency eventually,,,,hard money backed by gold, oil, bitcoin,,, that can all be worked out in the future

Unlike the Canadian $ which is backed by nothing,,,, just taxes

We don’t need the rcmp,,, we already have our own police force(sheriffs/municipal police)

Passports are easy,,, it’s just fancy paper

Ya, they’ll be a boarder,,,, not a problem

Albertans hunt/fish all over the world,,, people from all over come to Alberta to hunt/fish,,, again, not a problem

Albertans own property outside of Alberta all over the world,,, nothing changes

People from all over own property in Alberta,,, nothing changes

As far as shipping,, want to ship across Alberta?,,no problem, as long as it’s reciprocal

As per relocating out of Alberta,,, or into Alberta,,,,why would that be a problem? As long as they meet immigration rules in the jurisdiction

Ya, we’ll fund our own military,,,, not a problem,,, won’t need a coast guard or a navy,,,lol

Hope that helps

Well done sp. I'll add all the federal Gov't infrastructure is here. The federal employees at this time will more than likely be patched over or free to quit and pursue other options.

The mounties will be out by 2035 anyways should be out now because they can't and aren't full filling their contract.
