Took my buddy to the vet this morning for his annual shots and they said his knees were starting to sound a little crunchy and he was probably starting to get a little arthritis.

6 yr old German Shepherd so it comes with the territory. Their back legs fold up like those articulating ladders. grin

Vet suggested I start him on a joint/cartilage type supplement to help keep it off a while. Told me to get whatever OTC stuff I like, nothing that needs a prescription or anything yet.

Anyone give their pups supplements for joints? I see Cosequin looks like the go to stuff. TSC and Chewy have versions that're a little cheaper but not quite as packed with the active ingredients.

Thoughts? Advice?

6500 reviews and 4.5/5 stars. Check out the reviews. My buddy had a brother that was a chemist at a dog food place and this is what he gave his dog.

I might have to switch to this. Looks pretty good! Currently giving mine glucosamine/chondrointine and MSM separately.

Cosequin is what I bought for my old timer, Costco had it really reasonable at the time, don’t know if they still carry it or not.

Cosequin as well here. Given it for years to my bird dogs. You have to build them up on it with higher doses for a month or two then plateau off for maintenance.
