Spjones,

I think that if you were to look around, you will quickly find that every Country has their issues...with some are just unwilling to admit it.

I`m not suggesting that everything is perfect in our Country, but when I see the wars and nonsense that goes on in some Countries, overall, I feel we have it pretty good.

We don`t live in a Country where a weekly mass shooting is the norm, we have plenty of natural resources, good health and education systems which is accessible to all.

We still benefit from half decent social programs which are accessible to most Canadians.

In some Countries, political alliance appears to dictate how quickly you get assistance during a disaster...not in this Country.

If I am not mistaken, when southern Alberta was flooded years ago, many Canadians from other provinces donated to assist Albertains....Isn`t also fair to say that when forest fires hit a good part of Alberta other Provinces joined in to fight fires....

I would suggest to you that this solidarity still exists today despite what you may think, believe in or trying to portray with your movement.

Maybe the glass is half full and not half empty.

Is there a reason that funding isn’t public knowledge? There shouldn’t be anything to hide. Transparency goes a long way in movements like this, hiding doesn’t look good.
BTW, I’m coming out to Westlock this summer. Looking forward to blowing some $$$, but if Gord Klassen raises his hand at the auction, I’m done……lol The ATA has a ton of money & support from the younger generation, a good model for our province’s association.

People born in an independent Alberta will automatically get alberta citizenship

Shakey,, I can assure you APP/SF is a grass roots organization totally funded locally

Why do you think Canada will allow you to keep citizenship? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Alberta's independence, I believe by my reading of the Constitution every state in the USA should be able to secede if they want, also, but we already fought a war over that and lost. I suspect the Canadian government will similarly not want Alberta to leave. If they do let them go, I suspect there will be a lot of sour grapes and they will yank citizenship, and may very well confiscate property owned by Albertan citizens in the remainder of Canada, and may create a lot of red tape and hoops for Albertans to jump through to visit the rest of Canada. Likely it will be much easier for Albertans to visit the US, but that may depend on who is currently in power in the US also. It wasn't all that long ago you didn't need a passport to travel from the US to Canada, a drivers license sufficed, but 911 and some states giving licenses to illegal aliens put an end to that.

You forgot the many hay bales to save cattle herds sent in different drought years, the most being 100000 bales in 2002. For the record, I’m with you. It’s no wonder communities seem to be dying, everyone for themselves now.

Yet here you are contributing. Anyways I do a sovereignty patrol everytime I'm on the line to make sure my part of the western border is secure.

To the others yes.we help each other out provincially in times of need. I suspect we will continue to be that way. That's what neighbors do. Seems you fellas might be harboring some animosity towards us. Why would you be mad if a democratic process resulted in Alberta independence. I'd think a hellya congrats guys would be in order rather then looking for pay back from helping someone in need.
