I forgot I had rats at FHA from 2025. They were all 2X-3X ,graded I and II. They all sold for $6.00. That’s the most I’ve seen on rats in a while. There’s another couple dozen sitting there now for the June sale.

My check arrived yesterday and took it the bank today, where I've been depositing them without any problems in the past even after they were bought out by a larger bank. Today it however it became an issue that it was a Canadian check, even though it had New York bank and fed route number. Spent an hour on it and took it back and headed home. Received a call from them about the time I got home that I could deposit it and not wait 6 to 8 weeks to use the funds. Stopped in at local bank and opened new accounts. They accepted the check without any issues. At least now instead of driving 25 miles to the bank, it's only 2.5 miles and they don't have to call the main office if I have problems or need information..

You had a teller and or a supervisor that don't know their job very well. I, too, have had them look at the Canadian bank thing with raised eyebrows, but as soon as they see it's routed through a US bank in US dollars they quickly accept that.

If it's a big check they often ask if I've received checks from that company before.

That's what got me torqued, the teller remembered depositing one last year without any issues and that it was drawn on a New York bank, but that she had follow what the main office had to say about it.

Direct deposit a wonderful thing

Banks see “Canada” and immediately panic. They over look the fact that it says “US dollars” in several places. Happens on a regular basis unfortunately.
