Not so long ago there was a post on a loop type knot to tie a fishing lure. Can someone post that again, please?
Thanks.

I use this on my flies and it’s held up to 3.5# bass so far.

Not sure why you would want that loop and knot out in front of a fly. Seems counter-intuitive to me when one is trying to present a fake bug or minnow to a fish with excellent sight.

Just doing what I want now.

Loop knots on wet flys help give more natural/life like movement/ presentation ,, even when dead drifting

On weighted flys it helps sink faster

A tiny loop on a dry fly helps the fly right itself properly on the surface

I can't speak for fly fishing in crystal clear water.

the SW FL fishing was dark stained water moving with the tides and river outlet.
I am sure there are times it is clearer

the paddle tail grubs we were using were definitely not in the ultra realistic category of bait by any means

the loops were fairly small maybe a 1/4 inch , they say it gives better action and it did work , that's all I know. we had a guide who fishes the jig and paddle tail grub setup for snook and reds nearly every day and he makes money getting clients fish.
