Not really an herb, but I tried lion's main mushrooms about a year ago. Researched and bought the high-end stuff. Was supposed to help with brain fog. I tried it for about 3 weeks. Seemed like it did more harm than good.
Lots of Hocus pocus out there but I really do believe that there are natural remedies for everything.
What do you have your sites set on Keith?
Ol dad
I generally try to avoid medications, including natural ones, because I believe that our bodies constantly compensate our physiological chemistry, depending on what other chemicals we take in. I worry taking something needed may make my body produce less of it on it's own. I'm curious about lots of herbs such as cleavers, wild lettuce, bee balm, poke weed, mullein, dead nettle and more. I worry they could mess up my body's chemistry negatively. Keith

I use pure aspirin, never liked or felt right with the chemical compounds of Advil, or other pain relivers. Same with sinus medicine , Vicks vapor rub, is what I use. I've always use natural foods, and try to do the same with any medicines . Same with fresh whole milk form the cow, butter, never the fake margarine, and real lard and tallow. I've got a fetish of eating the fat off any animal, , there's more flavor, and I have very low cholesterol on both types. My son in-law used to cut all the fat off his steaks, until my daughter showed him my blood test results. LOL now he eats the fat too. I don't know, I just feel anything that's natural is better than anything made by chemists. Look at how many of our country's founders lived into their late 80's and 90's. There weren't many medicines made by chemists. Abet bleeding was a big problem back then. I believe that's what killed George Washington.

There is a genetic component involved. High cholesterol a good example.

By the way my son in law has lower cholesterol now. More in line with the bad and the good than before.

Diabetes, and a bunch more chronic diseases have more to do with your genetics then what you eat.

I am sure she can come up with a list of them.Grows alot of them as well as go picking. If anything they help the body chemistry rather than fight it like a lot of modern meds. Many if not most all the medications and pils my kidney doctor put e on I dropped due to the side effects were worse than what it suppossed to hep.I have had no side effects from her natural stuff

I have been reading on sweet gum and mullein. Read sweet gum fruit when gathered green and cut up and tinctured with vodka is akin to tamiflu.
