The excuses I get for “trappers” to start trapping. Time & money are the big ones.

Time……. Your time is worth something. I’m finished work for the day……this is my time….lol.

Money? The 2 little guys are worth just as much as a black blanket beaver to these clients.

Set heavy, make every trip worth it. There’s about 3 tanks of fuel for the white beast in the box.
I know some have to travel a distance to trap, but I’m getting these excuses from trappers that live 5-10 miles away from the problem areas. At least I’m seeing more sets out there, there’s new fellas in the game which is good to see. For the couple new applicants starting ADC in the municipality, I’m all for it. I encouraged the public works guy who calls me to hire local tax payers instead, get them out here.
Unfortunately, they catch a beaver or two, tell him that their sets are pulled and the dam can be removed, only to have it rebuilt in a couple days. Make sure they’re gone so I don’t have to drive out there…..lol. But it’s my time, I enjoy it and got no problems taking the evening to help out.

Weirdest thing ever. After skinning them, I think I had a pregnant kit, or maybe a pregnant juvenile that was unhealthy and small? Had big nips and the cottage cheese around them under the skin, big belly. Didn’t cut it open. I guess I could open it up at the bear bait on on the weekend.
