Imagine soaking up a YouTube page without considering examining all
of the ways it could be misleading. lol
I won’t bother to even point out the many flaws in the idea that have been pointed out since that silly comparison came out. Simple math debunks it as easily as the math that proves it. lol
The amount of propaganda in the world is nuts. I actually wonder how many guys on here followed Emily Hart on her MAGA influencer social media pages before it was discovered that she was a he from India that was making bank off of MAGA to pay her (I mean his, medical school bills) lol
Half of the numbers given in the video are directly from the Canadian government. I fail to see how the numbers Canada released are propaganda, unless you think Canada inflated them to make them better.
The video exposes how Capitalism works and socialism fails. It also exposes that low quality immigrants hurt a country's economy. I would think all but a very few here would agree with those tenets.

It also just measures economic production and takes no account for living standards and wealth distribution. It fails to acknowledge that GDP can be misleading due to corporate profits or even that government spending can boost gdp. GDP doesn't say much for poverty rates (Alabama Higher) and even things like average wages etc. If you want to start measuring things just on numbers it also doesn't account for the % of people actually employed in the workforce, unemployment rates (Both are significantly better in Can)
Both Canada and Alabama have gdp per capita flowing into wealthy bank accounts, even ones that are not in Canada or Alabama but that happens with more regularity and gdp per capita in Alabama. There are so many things to consider when it comes to "poor", that are not GDP per capita. It is easy to research and learn that Alabama has a high amount of %GDP going into corporate profits as opposed to local wages This comparison says that Ireland is richer than USA as it has a higher gdp per capita. It says the same thing about Bermuda. Do you believe that they are richer than you or do you admit that there are other factors besides gdp that would determine whether the average person living somewhere are rich or are you on board with "people in Ireland are so much better of than us"?
I'm middle class and I know I am supposed to believe I am so poor and times are so tough. I'll be mortgage free in two months though, our four vehicles are paid for, 2 of my three quads are paid for, my 19 foot lund fishing boat is paid for, so is the little 14 foot tinner, so is the camper and snowmobile. We have recreational lake property in the form of a cabin, we travel internationally every year, go to concerts, buy golf memberships, etc and basically acquire whatever wants are within our means. In reality, basically everyone I know lives the same way, has the same assets or even more. I know, I get it, I'm supposed to watch videos like that and be furious, but I am way less poor than my parents' generation was and they were more well off then the one before them so instead of living in this rage filled, woe is me world I choose happiness instead. However, I'm just a realist in thinking that things are pretty decent and our savings accounts just keep growing.
I'll give you this though because it is accurate, too much entry level employment immigration has hurt the gdp per capita. But Simon Kuznets, the economist who actually came up with GDP said that it was never intended to represent standard of living or human well being. (Yes, I had to use google to know that)
