I have 6 of the NTA Convention Coins from 1987 thru 1992. I'm just wondering if any of you know what they might be worth. You can private message me or email me at: trapperlance@gmail.com

They've never been out of the plastic containers so should be in great condition.

Since silver has dropped a little (about $10 /oz), probably about $40 less than when you asked in Feb.

~$260 is what you'd get if you walked into my local dealer.

Collectors would probably give you more because they're cool

I checked the market for the silver price today and I think it would be more like $360 with the current price of silver but these are collector coins so they should go for more than that.

Collector to who?

Silver is 71.48 an ounce right now. These high prices have wiped out most collector values unless something is relatively special

I'd pay $75 for the beaver. Only because that's what it cost me to buy an ounce of silver in the store.

428.88 melt value

Thanks Steven. I think I'll hold off for now on the beaver coin. I'd like to sell the entire set if I could. I appreciate you wisdom on this.

Lance

I got a few of those. Only reason I got the first one was because I lost a bet to Joe J that was selling them.

We were enjoying the evening at the fall WTA rondy in Neillsville whilst having a few brews
. I started giving Joe a little ribbing about his circumference and he bet me he could beat me in the 40 yard dash. If I lost I had to buy one of his coins.

Well, he promptly beat me off the line and later I learned his nick name in college was Choo Choo Train when he played fullback for some college team in Illinois. Fast twitch big guy.

Joe stops in every now and then. Good to catch up.

I don't see .999 anywhere, is it on the obverse side?

Waggler, It's on the obverse side.

Walt, great story about Joe. I thought at the time it might be a scam but I'm glad I bought them now.

I assume each coin is 1 Troy oz and each .999 purity.

Collector Value? Find someone that wishes they had one and wants to pay $100 for it and make money or sell it for cost.

You are basically holding qty (6) $75 coin pieces, so $450. If silver goes up maybe thatll be worth $750 someday or something. Some say holding actual physical silver is what we should be doing right now. Tech is using it in a big way and its running low they say.

Lance, that was Muskrat that told the story about Joe. That would be an insult to Mike to confuse him with me. I don't belong on this post with all the money talk. Lol
