Found a 2015 500 foreman with 313 hours, 1,000 miles, selectable 4wd, foot shift, 2500lb winch no issues the owner claims. Asking $5,000

Deal or no deal?

Thanks, Sarge

That seems a little high to me. I'm on the west coast maybe things here are different. I bought a new 2021 around the covid era and paid $8000 new. A winch is only a couple hundred bucks. So the age is what I'm going by. I would offer less.

I think that’s a little high.

I got a fantastic deal on a 2016 Honda Foreman back in 2022. It had 600 miles on it. Husband shot himself, widow got big life insurance payout. She sold all his stuff at a big yard sale. She wanted $1000 for it. I told her it was worth more, but she still wanted $1000. She even threw in a Stihl leaf blower for free.

Never gonna ever see a deal like that again.

May be a little high but likely a trouble free bike that will last as long as you need it.

$4500 would be a deal. $3500 would be a better deal.

I would buy it for $4500 take it to Honda have them go through it and keep it for the rest of my life. That is the Honda Accord of four wheelers. They just keep going. 300 hours and 1,000 miles is nothing.

Or option.#2.
2026 Honda 450 sportsmen 4wd. No power steering, no winch, but with independent axle, I believe with auto transmission. Out the door for $6500.?

Just weighing my options. Thanks, Sarge

I've seen many honda fourmans take a beating and keep going. I never seen a honda sportsman do that so I can't say the two are apples to apples but I don't know about the newer sportsman. If it was me I'd buy the older cheaper fourman all day long if it checked out.

I’d go with the older one that has the manual transmission.

300 hrs is high for a 1000 mile bike.

I have had 2 Honda 450’s over the years and they are great bikes. The 2015 should be 500cc if my memory is correct.

Don't know if they get it or not, but around here there $4500.00- $6500.00 they would have on it.
I'd look it good, and throw them a offer .

Can't beat a Honda

I bought a 2014 Foreman 500 new and have maintained it well and garage kept. Used it hunting and trapping, no mudding. IF I would consider selling it, my asking price would be pretty close to what I paid for it new. And that would include the added winch and front and back racks.

2025 models the same size list for just over $8,000 without the winch and racks.

I don't know if you'd be getting a good buy or not.
When I was in Alaska, we had four 1986 350 Honda Foremans. They were tough and reliable. We took them out on bombing range clearance operations and used them to drag 500 pound bombs to a central spot to blow them. They worked great. We had another one that we had rigged with a snow plow to plow our parking lot. Those were great machines.

That's a great ATV but that seems pretty high, at least it would be around here.

Price of new ones is going bonkers though, so it's bringing up the price of used.

I like manual transmissions. Seems like the constant velocity models rev too high.

That is a great machine, to me that price is too high for the age, but that is what they would have on it around here, now whether you can jew them down or not I don't know. I'd make them an offer and see what they say. Should be able to get new with a manual for about $1-200 more than the auto, at least you could a couple years ago when I checked on one for the wife. So if I was looking new, I'd see if I could get it in manual.
