My friend sent me this thought it was pretty funny.

The wonderful sport of turkey hunting.
5:00 am - Coffee, gather gear. Tired, but worth it.
5:20 - Hike to the hunting blind.
5:30 - Cautious optimism.
5:45 - Gobbles nearby. Excitement builds.
5:55 - 5 toms gobbling like crazy. This will be easy!
6:00 - Turkeys answer every single call. I'm a pro.
6:05 - I'm glad I'm bow hunting. Gun is too easy.
6:10 - Fly down. Gobbles continue. I'm planning my hero pictures. That log will be perfect!
6:15 - I yelp, they gobble. I've already killed one in my head. I'll be home by 7am.
6:30 - Gobbling slows. Nervous positivity.
6:45 - Hens lead toms away. I could have slept in.
7:15 - No gobbling. Disappointment creeps in.
8:00 - Heard the neighbor shoot. Frustration builds.
9:00 - Ticks are the devil's spawn. This sucks.
9:15 - OMG where is my TP!?!?
9:30 - Turkey hunting is stupid. That sock is staying here.
10:00 - Thinking of starting a drone delivery business. Breakfast burritos directly to your hunting blind.
10:30 - Depression takes hold as I think about all the yard work I should be doing.
10:50 - Haven't heard a gobble for 3 1/2 hours. Questioning all life choices now. I'm going home.

it's 730, make coffee,
wander to back slider, open door and throw some corn,
kick the little ones out of the way,
point finger at big boy and go "BANG",
walk back to drink the now finished coffee,
sit down at computer and open Trapperman
do it again tomorrow....

September - mow miles of logging roads and fire breaks.
October - plant several acres of food plots in winter grains and clover.
November - supplemental feeding at multiple locations thruout property.
December - supplemental feeding continues.
January - supplemental feeding continues.
February - predator trapping for 2 or 3 weeks. Prescribed burning if possible.
March - shut feeders off. Mow all roads, breaks, and grassy openings again in prep for turkey season access.
April - attempt to kill Georgia limit of two longbeards.
May - plant warm season food plots.
June - plant an acre of chufas.
July - pray for rain for the plots, especially the chufas.
August - start supplemental feeding back up as poults and fawns get big enough to elude most predators.

Watch turkeys in the same field for 3 weeks before season.
Hunt 5 straight days, not a turkey in sight/sound.
Hit turkey with truck by the same field on the way to work the next day.
