KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Champaign County, Ohio.	That makes sense fire kills off most of the insects, reptiles and rodents feral hogs eat and the ash would likely irritate their sinuses and make their food alkaline tasting. Keith

The article just picks up on some of the why. Prescribed fire ain't going to slow down pigs by much if at all but hey with pigs every little bit helps.
