I am a proud Canadian and I am also arrogant.
People dont like arrogance or arrogant people.
I couldnt give a rats arse whether people I dont know like me or not.
I think that there is some underlying insecurity in people who always want to be liked by irrelevant strangers.

And by the way yes Canada is the best country in the world to live and trap in.
And I say that having travelled (and also lived and worked in several) in a lot of other countries including the USA.

I find humbleness a more admirable trait, though I find myself to often admiring it from afar. To me it speak of true inter confidence.

I don't understand what their issue is with our building practices I guess. EU builds frame houses too....?

Not All americans come across as arrogant.
My son is married to a lady from Upstate NY and she is one of the nicest people I have ever met.Right up there with Paul Dobbins.
I am not anti american-just pro Canadian and wont stand for lies about Canada especially from arrogant americans who never lived here,and probably never been here except maybe to hunt and fish at a babysitting camp..

I know a Canadian that checks 4 of the 5 boxes. Lol

You definitely have a beautiful Country. Been there several times and always been treated with respect by the Canadians. However, there are things going on in both the USA and Canada I don’t like.

Nothing says low IQ and insecurity more than when people gravitate to personal attacks when faced with uncomfortable facts. LOL.
