Sending taxpayer dollars overseas is also a form of welfare,,, which all governments should end

Blowing people up is actually the job of the government

Protect the country, protect the borders

You may/likely disagree on who’s getting blown up,,,,

But it’s still one of their actual few legit jobs,,reasons to exist

Hey, just because I can go fishing, hunting, and trapping, golfing, bowling, throw hay bales on the wagon, etc., etc. doesn't mean I'm not disabled. I have a bad day now and then and can't do all that stuff I just mentioned so I should be able to draw disability. I mean I can't do what I did when I was 21 so I'm disabled. LOL LOL LOL

I agree with you trapdog 1. I had a guy that worked for me and was very intelligent. He had a couple hernias and got on disability. I offered to let him be an estimator in the office or a non working foreman. Nope, he kept applying and he got his disability finally. He's not disabled in the least but yes, he can't do the things he did in his 20's. Lots of jobs, if you really want one, that a person can do if he really wants a job.

Agree completely.

As for the article, thanks for posting, Angela. It appears to be a step in the right direction.

I'm sure there are a few cases where full disability is warranted. Should be very few. At least part time work of some sort should be required to receive disability benefits.

Still, I'd rather see my neighbors eating good, even if they are lazy, than watch billions upon billions of tax dollars being stolen by our politicians, given freely to other countries or blown up while killing people all over the world.

I can't help but laugh at where it says that the tighter work requirements will reduce SNAP spending by 68 billion dollars over the next decade. Yet, in the next decade we will certainly give much more than that away to a small country in the Middle East. Screw that! Let our fellow Americans eat!

One foolish waste of taxpayer money does not justify another. It's not SNAP benefits OR wasteful foreign aid, but BOTH that need to be stopped.

Paying SNAP benefits to those who won't work just encourages laziness and erodes the capitalist economy that made the US great. It also makes more voters dependent on government handouts and the politicians that support it, thereby ensuring those politicians get the future votes of those they have made dependent.

I've always thought charity for the poor or disabled should be the church's job or some similar organization. No government involvement other than distribution help when a man made or natural disaster occurs on the population as a whole.

I've said it before, if you can hunt, fish, trap, garden, travel, work around the house and post on TMan you can get a job and contribute to society

Anyone who disagrees should meet the quadriplegic greeter at our Walmart. He has the self-respect to have a job.

P.S. End all foriegn welfare too.
