My son in law is from Danbury, Texas
They must not cut grass there, because he keeps the messiest lawn in the township. I figured he must be used to having cactus, tumbleweeds and sage brush in his yard.

My dad came fron Tennessee on a tobacco farm and grew it for me so I don't care what you say.

I tried using a beer holder on my mower one Sunday. Nothing but a can of foam after 1 minute. Switched to bourbon. Much better.
I like mowing lawn to get away from jawin' with anyone.
Takes me about an hour and a half and four trips to the barn fridge.

I don't think my dad ever mowed our grass after I was 9 years old, until my siblings and I were all out of the house. Now he pays someone else to do it. I don't think I ever got paid to do it.

I worked in Carthage TX w/Amoco, I don't think I ever mowed the lawn.

My brother and I got paid to cut the grass…and feed the dogs and wash the car and do whatever else our parents need to doing during the week. And we each got $2.50 a week allowance to do it. LOL

This was in the late 60s and early 70s and we were getting $8 to $10 for brown muskrat and up to $12.50 for black ones. One muskrat could equal a month’s worth of allowance.

I’ve never owned a lawnmower.

He asked once about an allowance...told him you don't get an allowance for house stuff I gotta do for free , now if you want to paint the bottom of the boat....

I had 4 lawns I mowed for vacation homes during the spring, summer and fall. I got $20/lawn and making more money than people working full time. (minimum wage was $1.60) I pushed the mower 2 miles one way and back. The one homeowner said no way; he let me use his mower to do his lawn and the 3 other lawns. Guy purchased worms from me every day and I would clean the fish he caught plus any frogs.

Bought our first riding lawn mower over 40 years ago. Acted like it was fun so my wife took it away from me. She's been mowing the lawns ever since. Now all I do is the trimming and weed wacking.

Sounds safe, was there any thing fluffy and cuddlty?

You appear to be just the lawn care specialist I have been searching for.
I am looking for some solid advice. My lawn(yes it is my lawn) has got a little out of control. My wife says she is getting tired of breaking brush with the machete to get in the groceries. I realize this advice is free and being Trapperman do not expect any further reply from me.

Very nice East Texas piece of sod!

I have parts I have not cut in years. Spent about 12 hours a few weeks ago knocking a good chunk back down. One of the trees blew through the deck on the bush hog and now it need fixed or replaced before I can do any more . That said I have some time since I won't cut any more long stuff until the fawn are large enough they will hopefully get out of the way.

I may need to hit the side yard soon. Its at least knee high now I have been thinking about planting bamboo there for a privacy screen from the road.

I don't cut grass anymore, but the grounds crew have been out twice already manicuring the green carpet at our facility.
