Interesting....seems pricey but hooking up to city water isn't cheap either....Here, we can drive a well and get water at 10-12 feet ..but most wells are drilled deep cause the shallow wells are often contaminated.

I have city water in front of the house, but to hook up and pay to run it into the house would be over 20g.....so I'm good with my shallow well....lol

We have laws here, if you’re in so many feet from a water main. You have to hook up, you can’t put in a well!!! Even in the country.

Hookup does mean you have to use any I would guess. This is an option for rural setting where a well needs to be drilled. They work any place and every state in the US. To drill a well is costly in most of the US with 250 to >1000 foot wells.

I wonder what the cost per gallon to run it is. A well might be cheaper over its live time if you figure in operation costs to. Especially in areas with less humidity.

We got a well for lawn sprinklers, fur and Bait making shed on well water.

House is on community water.

14 foot well and never pulled it dry yet, we have had our house 28 year.
Down in the valley 's here got good water, up in the hills they haul water.
Right by 2 rivers come together here close to our house.

That 66 gal a day one costs about 5 to 7$ a day to run on electricity. A seasonal place with deep water it would viable option to H2O. In northern winters where things freeze up they are not recommended.

I have a couple shallow wells too. Both close to rivers and cricks in bottom valley ground also. Just for livestock and garden/lawn watering only.

About $80 in pipe and couplings, 3 hours of labor.

Above is from their website. Water storage, means you would have to keep it clean and disinfected. Which isnt as easy as it sounds. A pump would be needed for water pressure. This is mildly interesting, but something that I'd run from. If you ever tried to sell a home without a well, it would scare the crap out of most people. Drill the well, buy once and cry once.

I had a dehumidifier I ran in the basement of my last house. It was the largest model Sears carried. I believe it had a 2 1/2 gallon water tank on it. Some days in the Summer, the tank would fill in well less than 24 hours. Sometimes in the Winter, the tank would take over 2 weeks to fill. I could of plumbed it to a floor drain, but I just pulled the tank and watered my flowers along my porch with the water from it.

With a large outside unit, in a hot, humid area, you could pull an enormous amount of water from the atmosphere.

I did the math the Aquaria Hydropacks use about 2 1/2 to 4 times as much electricity as a well depending on temperature and humidity. That's actually better than I thought they would be.
