Jbyrd, you'd have a heart attack if you saw my "lawn." Its mostly greenish, and mostly cut. Nothing like your masterpiece.

Nope Don’t rake. Sharp mulching blades and very little clippings. Mow in opposite directions clipping take care of themselves

I learned early on in home ownership. A yard is a money pit if you want to fight weeds and make it pretty. And do it all so you can mow more often.

Key to doing it cheap is hitting the Walmart's in October. Buy clearance items. weed be gone 24d 2.50 a bottle . I use 4 per year. Got round up concentrate 64 oz for 3.50. Crabgrass preventer 50 lb bags for 14 bucks. It's like buying the "dip"
As for mowing . NO TREES so 11 minutes. Takes me longer to brush my teeth than mow.

Well I don't purposely go out and get my truck dirty so I can wash it more often. lol

the dogs have trails run in the lawn

it grows I mow it just before the mower will bog down in it

I also have bare patches that are dirt , they just need less mowing

Nice lines. I try not to get too carried away. I double 72" mow with one pass.

I have goslings trimming and fertilizing mine.
The raccoons would like to change this.
Ducks don't stand a chance.

Have a patch "harrowed".
Not sure what to plant this time.
