This little deer came up out of the ditch and caught my right front bumper right on the white line. It happened pretty quick and I was like oh crap and then its heart went rolling down the road on the yellow line.

Never seen or heard of a heart popping out like that before. Craziest thing to see. I turned around to take a pic b/c it seem unbelievable at the time.

Can’t help but wonder how that happened and no blood. That looks like a post mortem wound. Animal pulled it out. If that heart was still beating when it came out looks like been bleeding. Stranger things have happened

That gravel is drug to the side b/c I pulled it off the road and the heart is just laying there b/c I went and got it from the middle of the road about 20 yards out in front of me and carried it back for the pic.

Crazy things happen for sure. Any idea where the heart exited the chest cavity?

My dad shot a deer several years ago. When I was cleaning up the heart, there was grass/stomach contents inside the heart. Weird for sure.

Up front there on the left side somewhere. The bottom left leg is pretty tore up so I'm guessing the ribs separated right in there I guess? Left side. Makes sense I guess. Just random.

Crazy stuff! I shot a big buck a couple years ago, and when i was preparing the hear to eat i found a piece of bone in the middle of it with meat growed around it.

I'd eat that heart, it looks fine for "popping out." One of my favorite pieces of meat. Sliced, cooked rare to medium rare, in a little bit of homemade concord wine.

Cleaning one I save the heart, liver, and inside oyster loins. Heart, liver, and loin is good eattin. In my mind harvest day is a feed day with stuff like that for friends and family. There is enough there to feed several people in a feast but nobody ever comes over to share. lol.

I cut the tongue out once and it was like you'd expect but it was a lot of work for tiny tongue.

I guess organs are ok with Waste Disease everywhere now?

I hit a buck once hard enough that when I got home there was a testicle stuck on the winch.

I picked up an electric motor once and my intestines popped out of my belly. IN 3 PLACES !!! Dr had to put them back in. yeah that hurt.....

we picked up a deer road side around 35 years ago I was 12 , had been bow hunting saw nothing all weekend. then saw this doe on the side of the road looked good called it in , and the state trooper was helping us get it upon the roof rack of the van , he wouldn't let us field dress it road side said it would draw coyotes and such and cause accidents


my dad got on the roof to pull and I and the state trooper were lifting till he had the front legs , he pulled hard and everything let go in that deers gut and went out the back end I got a little but the trooper was covered in deer inside.


even if they look like they didn't get hit too hard sometimes they really did and everything broke loose.

I think it is safe to assume that......... that deer is dead.

My son seen a deer it by another vehicle. The heart was in the middle of the road still beating. I believe he has a video of it.
