What year was he/she born? Just curious how far back some of our lineages go. I’m kind of guessing I might have a winning entry: My mother’s father Fred Sodergren was born in May of 1880. His wife ( my grandmother Anna) born 1881.

Carl, my grandparents were born in 1922, 1926, 1926 and 1929. Your grandparents were born before all my great grandparents even, except my matenal, maternal great grandfather Samuel Pryfogle was born in 1880. Samuel was 49 and his wife Mary 42, when my grandmother was born in 1929. I had 5 living great grandparents when I was born. The oldest of whom lived to 94. Her son, my paternal, grandfather lived to 96. His oldest brother lived to 101.

Where were your grandparents born and where did they die. There's a lot of Fredericks and some Freds to look at.

Late 1800 for my grandmother born and raised in St James Missouri. This was my mom’s mother. Lived to be over a 100 Quail was the big meal that I remember he was a bird hunter. Never cleaned a quail in his life. Came home hung vest on door knob in kitchen then walked to the tavern and had a beer or two. Times have sure have changed.

Grandma was born in 25 and died in 22. It was sad, she was so old that nobody could come to her funeral b/c if they were still alive they were too old to make it. She ran the community center in town for years and years and knew everyone back then. Like I said sad.

my oldest age grandparent was my Grandmother Gloria she lived to 95 years old and passed in 2023 a few months short of 96 year old

just lost my last grandmother Sue at the beginning of April she had just turned 92

my family had a good run of the all of us oldest children being 22-23 years apart so we didn't have very old grandparents all my Grandparents were still working age when I was a kid.

My fathers parents were born in 1878 and 1890. My grandfather was 50 when my dad was born and died before I was born.

Paternal Grandfather, either 1899 or 1900, lived to 92

Grandpa on Mothers side was born in 1867. Died in 1937. He could have met Robert E. Lee (but didn't). Grandmother born in 1872, died at 92. On Dad's side, Grandfather born in 1880, died in coal mine accident in 1943. He served in the German army before World War I then migrated to the United States. Grandmother was born in 1882, died at age 82.

My dad's mom was born in 1894 in Brainerd, MN. Unfortunately for her, she was a love child from the minister in town. She was shipped off to relatives in Duluth and went to work at 14 in Fargo as a secretary for NP freight.

My maternal Grandad 1895, his dad 1872, his dad 1819.

My Grandpa was born the year Geronimo got captured, 1885. He had some great stories. Died in 1987 @ 102.
My grandpa was 45 when my dad was born. My dad was 45 when I was born. I'm 59 and have a 3 year old, 2 year old and one 7 months old. Hope I pass on some wisdom I didn't have when I was young.

This is my great grandpa about 1910 in Loysville PA. He caught these rats on Sherman's Creek. He was born in 1860. I still shoot his shotgun that is in this picture. He didn't have waders to get these rats. Wish I had some of his traps.

I'm 22 years younger than you, and my kids wear me out. I bet you're a tired man when you go to bed, lol.
