in case you switch to #155 traps. Mink will ROCK in 2027! At least I hope so.....lol

I did order some 150s , I have some extra 110 springs that I think will fit and I can make them 155.
I could have just flat out bought some 155s,, but I enjoy working on traps.
I’ve never targeted mink on purpose… always caught em as incidentals.
But I’m going to try to understand them a bit better and try for them on purpose.

I guess the boards shrunk since Jim wrote it in the early 90s.
Guess I’ll have to get some 1x8 next time..

I take it you've never done much of anything with your hands

At first I was simply going to ignore your insult.
But I’ll address it..

I worked for 15 years as a drywall hanger, finisher and painter.. I’ve also paid my dues pouring and finishing concrete… helped my grandfather who was an appliance repair technician and got pretty good at working on older appliances ( before the digital crap)I do know simple electrical wiring ( I will NOT wire anything that I can’t shut off.
Admittedly there’s a few things I’m not familiar with,, that’s why I at least don’t attempt to hide behind something I try to dumb my way through it. That’s why I ask for help.even if I don’t understand something… I try.

NOBODY was born knowing everything ( except for JESUS CHRIST).

I’m all for a good ribbing,, and I’ve absolutely had my fair share of it,,, but this was a straight up insult…
Yes,, I have worked ALOT with my hands.

It wasn't as insult, it was an observation
Sorry I didn't put an emoji at the end

Some people get all emotional about words on the interweb

6,4,&2’s are 1/2” less width wise. Fyi. At least with dimensional lumber here for the last 40+years of woodworking I’ve lived.

I’ve been noticing for a few years that the wider stuff is shrinking even more widthwise. Some 2 x 12s are only 11 1/8” anymore, same with 2 x 10’s, 7/8” shy.

And they can vary by up to a quarter inch. That kind of sucks when you’re using them for floor joists.

Eh...wot?
