Be a couple weeks before they get here most likely. We like seeing them. We get Baltimore and Orchard Orioles

The hummers I seen are here to stay. Just had a male Baltimore oriole stop at hummingbird feeder and getting a drink. Pretty sure he on his way to you guys and gals up north. Really cool. We never had them nest in my little world but stranger thinks have happened

Saw the first one yesterday. Right on schedule based on past dates. Expect the hummers in about ten days.

What type of feeder y'all recommend?

Never tried feeding orioles, we don't have many here near the shore....we have catbirds that like oranges though.

Amazon has a bunch of feeders, most with some sketchy reviews....seems easy enough to make something, just basically a hanging frame to hold a cup for the jelly...

What’s this grape jelly deal?
You’re feeding it to orioles?

Finally heard and Oriole outside just before sundown. Gotta get the feeders out, buy some oranges and grape jelly. They will be all over the place pretty soon!

Our orioles showed up last week. They usually show up just before Mother's Day here. This starts a long season of loading up the grape jelly. We used to put oranges out, but they empty them clean so fast we could never keep up. They used to stay only about a month, but now it's through summer and into fall!

As the coons discover the oriole feeder, we have to go into jelly defense mode. laugh

Clay, I bought a small orange bowl and hung it in a tree , dollar general has the cheapest grape jelly and is actually made with real sugar dump it in the bowl and you can't keep the Orioles out of it, the honey bees love it as well.

I’ll be dang. Never heard of that before.
So is the color of the bowl part of the equation that brings them to the jelly?
Hang the bowl from a limb or attach it to the side of a tree?

I doubt the color is a big deal , but I think bright color attracts them.
