Be a couple weeks before they get here most likely. We like seeing them. We get Baltimore and Orchard Orioles

Made it back to our feeder today, last year it was April 30th. No wren's or Hummers yet. Saw the first one this morning. Got to get to the store and get some grape jelly.
You know you're old when you walk past a rest room and think, as long as I'm here........

Our orioles showed up last week. They usually show up just before Mother's Day here. This starts a long season of loading up the grape jelly. We used to put oranges out, but they empty them clean so fast we could never keep up. They used to stay only about a month, but now it's through summer and into fall! As the coons discover the oriole feeder, we have to go into jelly defense mode.

What’s this grape jelly deal? You’re feeding it to orioles? Clay, I bought a small orange bowl and hung it in a tree , dollar general has the cheapest grape jelly and is actually made with real sugar dump it in the bowl and you can't keep the Orioles out of it, the honey bees love it as well.

I’ll be dang. Never heard of that before. So is the color of the bowl part of the equation that brings them to the jelly? Hang the bowl from a limb or attach it to the side of a tree?
