Another good check this morning. Got my biggest beaver yet at 70lb. Fur is tanking for the past 10 days or so out here but they all pay the same….lol

Nice haul! Are you going to stretch them? Be interested how big it stretches.

Skinned rough, rolled and into the freezer. Once it cools off next fall I’ll start putting them all up.

Haha, all good! My old record was 67 or 68.
How are the numbers of those critters you’re chasing in northern Minnesota? It was a slow winter for a lot of guys that I’ve talked to from the Rockies to Ontario. Except a fella who lives about 30 miles from me, he caught a pile of em, all within 10 miles from the Mb/Mn border…..lol

60 certainly ain’t no slouch jk…..lol. My biggest for years was 67 or 68. Pics don’t really do big animals justice. I’ll probably get the wife to take one of me with it before I peel the skin off tomorrow.

Lookin' good Shakey! Hard to wrap my pea-brain around trapping beaver in May. I've been done for two months.

The fur here has taken a downturn about 2 weeks ago. But the spring run didn’t seem to happen. A lot of the water in the ditches was gone by the time the ice was off the ponds. Very weird spring thaw this year. I think any left over beaver living with big momma may have dispersed, no action on the cam last night. I’ll let the home owner check out the sets out of cam view.
