Vinke OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 /AZ	Cabazon is only regulated by size in WA. (I think)..... 30 year fishing the sound for halibut and ling and never accidentally hooked one. Raghorn67 trapper R Joined: Nov 2023 West central Missouri	That's a rough looking character, looks like fun though. Only fished the ocean 1 time if you want to call it that. I was working in Rosenberg Texas and we had a free weekend so we went out on a party boat from Galveston. 80 some people, most spent the day sitting in the cabin sea sick. They took us around to the oil rigs, caught a bunch of Spadefish, a nice Ling , some channel cat looking fish and a shark about 3 feet long. They deck hand cut my line on it. Said it was to dangerous to bring onboard with other people on the boat. It was cheap entertainment for the day, nothing I would do again

alaska viking trapper A Joined: Dec 2007 40 years Alaska, now back to O...	They look a lot like a giant sculpin, of which I have had the dis-pleasure of catching hundreds. Never ate one, but have caught a few I would guess were pushing 8-10 pounds. Cabezon are apparently highly desirable in the pacific coastal lower 48. Just doing what I want now.
