Hobbie have you ever heard the story of the man who fell off a cruise ship?
He prayed for god to save him and as he was praying a boat pulled up and asked him to come aboard. He refused saying, God will save me. He kept praying and an hour later another boat came along to help but again he said "God will save me. He continues to pray but getting very weak now, yet another bigger boat arives on the scene and again he refuses help stating God will help. Eventually he drowns and ends up at the pearly gates, when St. Peater arives, the man says why didn't God save me? And St Peter says, Well, he sent you 3 boats.
Sometime you have to accept the gifts you have been given, like irrigation, god can make it rain and he can help your crops when it doesn't. Its up to you to help him, help you.
Does irrigation show a lack of faith. What a silly question. Lol
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Is it a demonstration of a lack of faith? When you're hungry, do you stare at a cow and wait for God to turn it into a ribeye?

Is it a demonstration of a lack of faith? GOd the ultimate creator made man in his image. So naturally we are also creators and build systems to make life more predictable, productive and easier. Would it show lack of appreciation not to optimize and use the gifts we have been given. How about not optimizing production to get tha most out of land we are blesses to be the custodian of while we are here.

In the far west water use is allocated for fish/recreation as well as irrigation and municipal use. We couldn't grow much of anything where I'm at without it. No rain from May until late September most years.
We've been irrigating for three weeks already.

Is it a demonstration of a lack of faith? The first irrigation I was ever aware of was on a glacier moraine of 6/4 gravel , His field would burn up otherwise and produced double the corn crop. Where I am in Idaho think potatoes,, Potatoes and beets would seldom spout if it wasn't for irrigation, And a field in NW South Dakota the rancher was able to get 7 ton of alfalfa per acre , again a place it would never grow.. The southern California/Arizona incredible farmland that otherwise is desert

Irrigation is huge in Montana. I had a small irrigated farm and with out flood irrigating you wouldn't raise anything here. The ranch I own now wouldn't survive without irrigation water. I have some bottom ground I can irrigate.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

So we are certain God wants us living where food wouldn’t grow without it? I can confidently say God wanted uo to live in and tend his perfect garden. Then we messed up and got the evicted. And the punishment was to struggle fighting to work the land. Just like his punishments to the jews he allows the struggles, while still providing us resources to survive. At least thats my take on the topic fomrom his book. Personally humand are not happy and satisfied in this life when this have everything running well and smooth. They seem to require hardship and something to overcome. If we dont have it naturally we have a way of production it.

So we are certain God wants us living where food wouldn’t grow without it? I can't find "thou shall not irrigate" anywhere....
