I have been distracted a lot the last few weeks and not following anything closely. Just looked today and saw my accounts were very close to where I projected thwm to be by the end of the year and thats with only 1/3 of the contributions i was planing to make made so far. Its very unlikely I will hit my investing goals for the year being im only at 1/3rd and its already May and im will probably make nearly 1/3 less tahn i did last year if not even less.

Once again I have little idea what driving the markets. Inflation is higher than expected and got to continue to climb with high energy cost. Seems like markets would be cooling down and valuations geting more reasonable. Maybe im missing something or its fear of missing out.

Possibly just figuring the government will.put more money and stimulus into the economy and inflation prices further maybe so best to invest and stay in and ride the wave thinking maybe?

Its a toss up for me on taking some profits and buying back in after a correction that seems impossible not to be coming. But I waited 4 years thinking the same thing before.

I figured maybe some financial talking may be a better way to kill time compared to some complaining about maga and a school system.

A correction is inevitable but who knows when?

Futures are down now, and with tomorrow being an option expiration day you may see a bit of pull back tomorrow, although in recent weeks we've been rallying on Fridays so again, who knows?

I'll ride this for as long as I can, but I am not long many shares at all...if I was I would be mighty tempted to be taking some profits now. A lot of unknowns right now..... the war, a new fed chair, uncertainty about the direction of future fed moves, an election cycle coming up........

Incorrect. Your money will most certainly buy less light bulbs than it did this time last year. Just ask Rex.

I'm leaning more into a trend where market continues to be fueled by irrational government spending and the masses think its great as they miss the great devaluation that exceeds those gains. those with crypto may be the proverbial last man standing in this government manipulated shell game

My 401 is looking good

But I have heard multiple predictions that there will be a drop before the end of the year, hopefully it will bounce back before I plan to retire in 10 or so years

This is my thinking as well and stopping me from taking the profits I have been thinking about. Im just a newish armature investor but the markets and valuations seem to have been out of touch for a long time. That said if I had sat out I would have missed some very nice growth

So far I haven't had faith in crypto. I dont understand it. It makes nothing and produces nothing. I understand how xom, target, pfe and Nvidia make money. They produce products and innovation. I can understand that. Crypto not so much.
