One of the things I miss about when I lived in Uvalde was coming across those random mom and pop gold mine food spots. That and fresh homemade axis tamales.

Never heard of Jersey Mikes

Purchased one for my wife and the sub was small, sparse meat, and overpriced. One and done.

My wife & I have sampled all of the franchise sandwich shops in & around our town and Jersey Mike’s spanks’em all!! IOHO that is!

I like cousins and Jimmy John's too. Mike's is just my new favorite. The #13 Italian,

I’ve never had any jersey mikes… but Jimmy John’s,, not to shabby and yup they really are fast with delivery.
Peg and I went out on a road trip several years ago… and it was late when we got our room.
We looked up a delivery joint because we were too tired to go out to eat.
We ordered from jimmy johns and they were at our hotel in 10-15 minutes.
I guess the restaurant was probably close to the hotel,, but ya, they were on the ball.

I'd like to try all those you mention.

Best franchise sandwich out there. One by me was poorly managed and filthy unsanitary. Spent much time trying to contact to let them know. Was imposable, next time calling health department.

Jersey Mikes isn't bad for a franchise sandwich, but we have a lot of small delis and bagel places that make sandwiches all day, from sliced bread, hard rolls to hero size. Way superior to the franchise places offerings....The hero size is the same as hoagies, po boys, and grinders, depending where in the country you are....
