Back when I started trapping foxes in northern NY (1970s) I used primarily Butcher lures and then after a couple years added a lure called Kobuk by Leo Hoeft. I think. I recall Trapper Arts was going to be making Hoeft lures but don't see them on their website. Does anyone recall that lure? I found it to be a really good fox and coyote lure and continued to use it when I moved to eastern Washington. I think Hoeft made it. Is anyone aware of anyone making that particular lure?

I would love to get some if for no other reason than nostalgia, though it would make a good change up I think for my Idaho coyotes.

Thanks in advance.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that was a Don Bierman lure.

It might have been. I was experimenting with some other makers and Bierman was one of them. I remember a dealer at a trapper’s convention suggested I try Kobuk so I bought a bottle. It’s been about 50 years ago.

I do know I used it for several years, and had good luck with it. Is anyone making Bierman lures?
