No, not that kind....

Read that Texas is proposing that every mountain lion taken must be reported to the game dept, and submit sex, a pre molar and tissue sample...so they can better "monitor" the population...

My gut cries out....and then what? Quotas? Trap size limitations? Area limitations? etc

The game cameras we have on one small ranch there are a lot of lions here, we have to submit to tagging---tooth, meat sample and they have to be adults and the quota is set so the population increases to a dangerous level. The area I trap has seen lions living under peoples porches,barns and young animals emaciated with not enough fat in their tail to fry their ears! This spring there was a lion in the school playground, school was in session, our local warden solved the problem. Looks like Texas is using New Mexico as a model.----Good Luck!

We have to do that here in Wyoming and on many other species- trophy game taken.
Doesn't hamper take at all, the quotas do though.
