Im doing a ADC beaver job its the fist time ive done beaver theres hardly any sign there's still there but the owner saw them 2weeks ago so i made a castor mound in front of the only slide i found and placed a 330 in front of it. Anything i should have done differently

It would be good to know if anyone has tried to catch that beaver prior. My experience has been with educated beavers and they would have nothing to do with a conibear or even a snare. Would not come near any bait or lure. I had success with a well concealed foothold on a drowner. If there is not sufficient depth to drown, I hear tell that long-chaining beavers can be effective in areas where the water is too shallow. Hopefully you can connect...good luck.

As far as i know there has been no trapping on the property i didnt have the stuff for a drowning set so i ran a 5’ piece of 1/2 or 3/4 rod through the eye pf the spring and shoved it about 3feet deep till it got pretty solid
