I over-infused some butter one time and made chocolate chip cookies for my sis-in-law, who's a hippie from way back. I learned a valuable lesson that day. When your butter turns as green as algae covered swamp water you got to cut it with regular butter to "calm it down a bit.

She ate one cookie before bed and and we found her the next morning in the yard "swimming". She told us she was swimming to Italy. Needless to say she would only eat a quarter cookie from then on.

You can "age" the THC out of it, leave it in the sun for awhile, the UV cooks out the THC getting rid of the "high" and leaving you with the pain reduction. Ask your neice about it.
