Well I took the leap this morning and went to local gunsmith and filled out all the necessary forms to get me a silencer for my 22s bought the Xcaliber made right here in my home state got home and none of my rifles have been threaded so took him my. Ruger 10/22 and both my Henry lever guns in 22LR and 22mag he said he will have them threaded by time my approval returns we shot his ruger and his Henry rifles with the can I’m getting I was totally impressed with the ruger all I heard was the action and on his lever gun it was nothing so i think I’ll be happy when i get everything done

There ia a synthetic rod or piece you can put in the bolt instead of the steel one in a 10 22 that softens the action noise. I had friends talking about it but didn't pay much attention since none of the 10 22s at the house are threaded.

Here is the mentioned bolt buffer, it helps maybe a little but nothing crazy. Cci subsonic-semi autos cycle best for me

Bought a 22 silencer for my Ruger, not knowing anything about the barrel, just figured it would fit it after threading, but the barrel
was to small to thread !!

So went to the next gun show and bought a new Ruger with threading already done, also picked up a nice red dot site for the kids to use while plinking with it, a great thing the kids like !!

Have now three silencers for some of my stuff, heavy shooting , medium shooting and the light, really makes a difference !!

I went with an Angstdat Vanquish. for the 1022

Noticeable difference in sound level. Can not attest to accuracy, but other reports are good.
