Out of college worked for PPQ - plant protection and quarantine part of USDA/APHIS and they had several beagles trained to smell out invasives called the beagle brigade and other dogs as well trained to smell out things not supposed to be in country that were often imported illegally. Generally worked on the ports and major traffic hubs.

if your net or hook catches bottom it will come up with zebra muscles

the Madison chain of lakes have them , kinda nice to hear there is a place without them

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Just the beach alone Keith, some of them are starting to get that white sand look from a distance.
Crushed and whole zebra shells washing up inches thick

several years ago we were on Green Island in Green bay just east of Marinette WI

there was such a mass of zebra muscle shells the entire beach was basically nothing but an there were like little dune of shells pushed up from the ice

looks like a nice beach from a distance and you get there and it is not sand , it is all shell
