There has to be someone, or some entity funding & organizing these.

Might need some water boarding to get the answers.

Soros is a prime suspect, IMO.

I saw some videos out of Florida a couple of months ago. There are a lot of black promoters for the take overs, who were making tens of thousands of dollars off of some of them. Some of the Florida prosecutors and sheriff's departments started seizing houses and vehicles of the promoters to pay for police and clean up costs.

Nice, making these kind of things not worth it seems to be a good deterrent....Those investigations need to probe deeper though, to see if a shadow partner is ordering the chaos.

Florida and Texas both have some really good, conservative, no nonsense Sheriffs, who support the good people of their counties, rather than the criminals.

Just some college kids out having fun.
I went to Lauderdale,Daytona Orlando and Miami in 1980 for spring break for 3 weeks with a miner buddy from the NWT.We had a helluva good time, and a lot of chaos with all the drunken American college kids.

They are mostly not college kids. They have been killing each other, plus occasionally shooting innocent people in the background.

Appears they had one at the beach in Delaware. Warrants were issued for the organizers. I believe it was 3 people they have identified and are looking for them.

There IS a common denominator in most of them it seems...
Hobbie... apparently the 4th one in Rehoboth since April... somehow the first 3 didn't make the local news... wonder why?

I'll say it, it's almost entirely young black people doing the take overs, except in a few locations where it's young Hispanics. There's only rarely young white people present. It's not a new phenomena. It's been going on my whole life, likely long before too. It has led to the permanent closing of many malls and parks and millions in property damage.

I hadn't heard of this flash mob thing. Isn't that area where a lot of low income housing has went up in value pricing the riff raff out of their own neighborhood and now they can't afford to live there? Say your rent goes from $500 to $1500. Were they protesting about losing their homes? I guess historically low income housing becoming prime beach property and pricing people out is a real thing there. Seems like a mess.

The Dems there support subsidising them to make up the difference in their increased rent b/c its not their fault they can't afford it anymore. Wild.

As near as I can tell, Keith pretty much has it right. It has morphed into a cultural thing within that segment of the population. Not as bad as the cultural riots that break out in aftermath of events like George Floyd or Ferguson riots, but same mindset. Seems to be a modern era social media enabled fad.........hundreds and hundreds of these kids descend upon a location and just take over. Few to no limits on behavior......and no consequences, so just about anything goes. Do a search on Houston Spring Break rodeo..........STD spreader event not like anything that has come before. Last summer somewhere around 500 to 1,000 of these kids took over a city swimming pool in Chicago suburb. Wrecked the place, then left. The list goes on and on.

Only way to stop it would be on the spot consequences...........kids from my era used to fear a load of rock salt from a shotgun.........never happened, of course, but the fear of that was a factor. But in wake of George Floyd, good luck with that. Anyone doing anything to stop it with a violent means will be in more trouble than the kids X100. Forget any help from parents. Likely as not they all approve. Same mindset that thinks it's OK to openly pilfer from a grocery store or a Walgreens, and then complain to high heaven when the store closes. The story is the bad guy.

Unless and until someone comes up with way to enact instant consequences.......that are allowed.........it will continue.

BTW, forget legal justice system as a remedy. That has become a sick joke.......no consequences. Those kids don't fear that at all.

PROJECT SUMMARY Title: Youth Violence and Disorder in the City’s Center SCANNING In 2023, youth involved crime and disorder surged in Cincinnati. Juvenile involved1 violent crime (+26%), property crime (+30%), calls for service (+26%), and arrests (+20%) increased. Amid a flurry of local news stories displaying “viral” videos of youth violence downtown, police and community responders redoubled their efforts. Residents raised concerns about personal safety and fear of crime, and there was concern for youths prematurely entering the criminal justice system. Public expectations were clear. They wanted police to address these recurring events (CHEERS). ANALYSIS Temporal and spatial trends revealed concentrations of youth disorder and crime. Youth involvement concentrated in middle and late afternoon hours, especially after school release. “Hot spots” closely matched those predicted by crime pattern and opportunity theories. Seven places disproportionately produced youth involved police calls (10%), crime (9%), and arrests (19%). The problem appeared exacerbated by student transportation changes, which forced students into the city bus system. Government Square, the primary public transportation hub in Cincinnati, was of greatest concern. Hundreds of unsupervised students concentrated each afternoon, and officers managed these crowds - sometimes confronting violent or armed teens. RESPONSES The City responded with a multidisciplinary and tiered approach. For immediate relief, the Cincinnati Police Department’s (CPD’s) Civil Disturbance Response Team (CDRT) mobilized to monitor Government Square daily. Police and citizens shared concern that a large police presence could result in high-risk interactions and over-reliance on arrest, and strain police-community relations. A community outreach team was quickly formed to serve as a “buffer” between groups. CPD then redoubled analytic efforts, identifying a handful of youth disproportionately involved in crime downtown. Local leaders were invited to identify system gaps, including those from Cincinnati Public Schools, the juvenile court and the Cincinnati Metro bus system. Next, opportunities were identified to alter transportation routes, reducing idle time and improving guardianship, relying less heavily on police resources. Youth support and recreation opportunities were improved citywide. ASSESSMENT Youth involved crime declined citywide. Crimes involving juveniles decreased (-5% violent, 11% property). At Government Square, youth-involved calls and crime decreased. Arrest patterns suggest harm reduction, but spatial and offense displacement likely also occurred. This project required engaging major systems – transportation, education, and justice – and understanding how these systems influence crime. This project also highlighted the critical impact of guardianship in public spaces.

A flash mob is different. People in a flash mob show up and do some sort of performance. It's usually only disruptive and often is entertaining. Often there's music and dance.

Black youths used to call what they are doing wilding, now it's called a takeover. It's a party usually with drugs, alcohol, theft, property destruction and violence. It often ends in shootings and stabbings.
