As the title says, how big do you think this bear is? About 25 miles North of downtown St. Paul.

Is that a sow bear, that just ran off her 2 year old cubs? The ears look fairly large compared to the head. Bigger bears have smaller looking ears. I'm going to guess 190 to 210 pounds. Shoot it and let us know.

No experience with bears but that one looks like it has not missed many meals

My guess is 250-300# but that is just a wild guess

good bear 325 # hunted a few biggest just under 400 . oldest 26.5 years a 325# sow

It looks to me like a very well fed 3-4 year old. Legs aren't stove pipes yet and the belly isn't low to the ground like an old bear.
Ears look large and are high on the head. Big old bears have smaller looking ears more on the side of the head.
I have no good guess on the weight, but it would likely fall under the good eating category.
