It appears that many coyote traps are designed without much if any consideration given to the impact Mother Nature & Wile E. can have on their gear.
This is painfully apparent when you see all the mods, repairs, and overall tinkering most traps receive or require.

The best coyote trap for me is the one that needs zero mods or tuning. They are ready to rock right out of the box.
They also require very few if any adjustments even after numerous catches.

I would much rather spend my time trapping coyotes in the field instead of tinkering in the shop.

I agree tejas, 2 traps come to mind.
Chain set up is all i like to have to do.
And if they have left it stock it's just right also.

My night latch comment is just a inside joke,
right from Glen himself at a F.T.A. demo he did.

WHAT 'S A NIGHT LATCH was his answer
to a question when he had a MJ 600 in his hand.
