I have seen several lures encased in wooden tubes with screw on lids over the years at shows. Seems to have been the way some older lure mfgs. packaged and shipped their products.

I think the label says Burbank Lures? I remember seeing quite a few sold throughout the years....cool idea and certainly unique.
A buck each? That was a good sum of money back in the day...the wooden container alone would be a large expense in any time period.
Cool find.

Burbank, it is.
Labels read:

Burbanks Schofield Method for Fox Scent
This scent is prepared after a famous Indian trappers formula, and is second to none in existence.

Burbanks Muskrat Scent
Prepared and guaranteed only by N C Burbank Wilton, Maine

Fox is empty and dried up, Muskrat is half full. (I'm tempted .... )

Thanks folks,

smile
