Ive got it. I fell asleep watching it a couple times. Dont remember any information you couldnt obtain through searching this forum for free. It mostly just breaks down what ingredients are used for what. This is the best of my recollection on it anyways. If you want it I can send you my copy.

thanks, Sportsman94...Gerald Schmitt had it on sale, so I ordered it from him. Should have figured what you said...the dvd was listed on deep discount.

Truly valuable information will surely not be given freely away to the public. Mentorship is probably the most effective way to really learn the trade to make lasting strides.

I agree with you, Bob.

The problem is finding a Mentor willing to teach the basics; especially for someone not wishing to go into the business.

My interest is for my own education and personal use...to produce the highest quality attractant (of my own design), regardless of its production cost.

There is an abundance of basic information, but it is a never-ending education you will find. It takes many many years to get a good hold on all that comes into play. It is very challenging and can be expensive but it is quite enjoyable to some.

I'm also "experimenting" with some things. I'm in absolutely no way wanting to go in business but I'm searching for things that work local to me. I could be wrong but I have a belief that what may work in Texas or Missouri may be lacking in NE TN. So far in my quest I've found out you better learn how to swim through all the things that come in play in the lure and bait business.

The local effect does have some basis in reality. Here fish seems to be anathema to everything, some fish oil might have some attraction, but dump fish out, fresh, tainted or rotted down to juice and bones and nothing will approach it. I've seen bears totally quit using a bait that was being hit by multiple bears daily, when fish scraps were added. But there are lots of attractants that are still very attractive to animals, even though that odor may be totally absent in that locality naturally.

And while I've not seen the DVD, I've read Kaatz's lure book, least informative or helpful lure book I've read.

I'm working on ground hog as of now. We used to have all kinds of em' but when the coyotes moved in back in the the late 80's they soon were thinned out. I'm collecting anal glands and bladders the same as folks collect glands from a cat. Mr. Jamison supplied the ground hog urine (thanks Mr Jamison). Hopefully it will win the interest of the predators that just walks on by.

I'll play around with a couple of ideas, but will most likely sell off most of the stuff I've accumulated over the years.
