if you watch any media it appears folks are either getting sued or suing somebody.
A conversation this evening with my youngest took me back to grade school memories. I had a friend that had both his legs broken on an apparatus on our playground that some older kids were pushing and spinning. It left him in a body cast for most of the third grade. This also caused him issues later in life as an adult. His parents didn't sue the school or the parents of the kids involved. It was viewed as "just one of those things". Now people are being sued over feelings. lol

It has ruined the culture of a popular nearby town

Part of the victim mentality, and someone should pay. And then there's the love of $$$

There were bones broken, heads split open and falls out of trees on our property back in the 60s-70s when I was young. Nobody sued, you went home and got taped up or walked it off. Nobody sued. I do see why my parents were so concerned when half the town was on our property causing mayhem.

Take a ride down the interstate here and 90% of billboards you see are for law offices. An old employee of ours once said when he was growing up all you heard on the radio was “learn to be a truck driver get your cdls. Or become a welder, plumber,etc.”. Actually teaching people how to make a career for themselves. Now it’s “Injured in an accident?? Call this guy with such and such law office!” I told my son every one now days wants the free and easy money. No one wants to work for it anymore.

You can stop a sexual assault and and end up catching charges for assault with minor bodily injuries the attacker received from the state. Its not just individual that jacked up.
